The 21-year-old was travelling between junctions 35 and 34 in Bridgend when he was clocked on 19 October – days after returning from the Rugby World Cup.

Grady pleaded guilty to the offence at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

He has been named as a substitute in the Wales squad to face France in Cardiff on Sunday.

The Cardiff Rugby player has been ordered to pay a £915 fine, a £366 surcharge and £110 in costs.

He must pay the £1,391 total by the end of March.

The offence occurred days after he returned to Wales from the Rugby World Cup in France, following the team’s quarter-final defeat by Argentina on 14 October.

The nine-cap international, from Rhoose, has appeared in all three of Wales’ Six Nations matches this year, all as a replacement, and picked up a yellow card in their defeat by England at Twickenham.
